Domino’s Pizza and Youthline have raised $30,000 with their first nationwide Doughraiser held in all 91 Domino’s Pizza stores.
During the five hour Doughraiser event each store donated $1 from every pizza sold to their partner Youthline, which when combined with generous supplier donations to top it up, came to a grand total of $30,000.
New Zealand General Manager, Scott Bush said “This new partnership we have established with Youthline has been such a pleasure to be part of. Youthline are an amazing organisation who really do change lives. We have many great initiatives in place with Youthline but ultimately we wanted to raise some serious money for them.
“We thought our customers would get behind this event especially for a good cause like Youthline but we have been overwhelmed by the level of support .
“It seems the Youthline brand is still going strong with New Zealanders after over 50 years, and I can’t even begin to fathom how many of our customers have been helped by Youthline over that time. “
The funds will help Youthline develop deliver and expand their new GoForward suite, which consists of online tools designed for youth support and personal development.
Youthline is stoked to have this opportunity as part of their national partnership with Domino’s Pizza New Zealand.
Youthline Auckland CEO Stephen Bell says Youthline is excited to have such a well-known brand as a national partner.
“We are extremely grateful to Domino’s NZ for being such a generous partner to Youthline. They are making a very real contribution to New Zealand’s young people and, through them, to our country’s future,” he adds.
GoForward is a suite of online products designed for youth support and personal development. This project exemplifies Youthline’s participative approach, and the belief that young people have the capacity to make great change in their communities.
Mr Bush added “Testament to the amazing work Youthline do, we had a number of suppliers and partners involved with the success of this event. As soon as you mention the Youthline brand companies where signing on to help.”
Domino’s Pizza plan to make it an annual event and have already set a target to raise even more money next year and Youthline are up for that challenge.
